About Sleepy Dragon Campground
Nestled on 90 acres of serene, wooded land in Rio, Wisconsin, Sleepy Dragon Campground offers a rustic retreat where nature takes center stage. Surrounded by 110 acres of lush forest, our campground provides a peaceful escape with 135 large, shady sites perfect for RVs, tents, and seasonal stays. With over 45 species of birds thriving in their natural habitat, along with deer, beavers, and rabbits, wildlife enthusiasts will find plenty to explore.
Our campground features an array of nature-inspired amenities, including a swimming pool, jumping pillow, and a playground for family fun. Wander the walking trails through our back 40 acres to spot native wildlife or enjoy stargazing under dark, clear skies. A dog-friendly environment ensures your furry friends can join the adventure in our dedicated dog run. For RV campers, we offer 81 full hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections, along with 53 water and electric sites, and six convenient pull-through sites accommodating RVs up to 50 feet. Additional RV amenities include a dump station and pump-out services, ensuring a comfortable stay. Whether you’re relaxing by the pond, playing a game of outdoor chess, or cooling off with an ice-cold drink from our snack counter, Sleepy Dragon Campground invites you to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories.

Hi, my name is Victor Chacon Jr., and I’d like to welcome you to our campground. During my 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, I thought about ways to spend time with my family and how to make sure they enjoy all this world has to offer. This dream has come to life here at Sleepy Dragon Campground.
Here, we invite you to enjoy all nature has to offer while sipping on an ice-cold drink from our snack counter. We have many outdoor activities we know you’ll love, so if you are looking for a place to escape your worries and relax, this is the place for you. Our 90-acre, dog-friendly campground offers shaded sites, a swimming pool, jumping pillow, playground, and more for families and groups to enjoy. Come see the native wildlife like deer, beavers, rabbits, and over 45 species of birds in their natural habitat. Our 135 campsites are large, shady, and rustic, perfect for RVs, tents, and seasonal stays.
